Zhejiang Nanofiltech Proudly Sponsors the 2025 Pinghu Rowing Open!

On May 18, the 3rd Jiaxing Rowing Elite Race and the 2025 Pinghu Rowing Open kicked off at the scenic Donghu Lake. 24 elite teams—formed by PhDs from top universities and professionals from various industries—competed in a thrilling 1000-meter sprint, showcasing both speed and determination on water.

Behind this vibrant event was a powerful cross-over of technology and sport, made possible by the deep involvement of Zhejiang Nanofiltech, the official sponsor of the race.

Established by  Nanofiltech and Donghua University, the Institute focuses on cutting-edge R&D in nanomaterials and high-performance fibers. Sponsoring this rowing event not only celebrates athletic spirit, but also explores how scientific breakthroughs can contribute to advanced sports equipment.

Since its launch in 2023, the Pinghu Rowing Open has grown into a premier platform for high-level talent exchange in the Yangtze River Delta. This year, teams from Tsinghua, Peking University, and industry sectors like finance, tech, and manufacturing competed side by side—blending competition, collaboration, and innovation.

At the opening ceremony, Pinghu’s Party Secretary Mr. Zhong Xudong stated:
"Rowing is not just a sport—it’s a bridge connecting education, technology, and talent to city development."
Pinghu has attracted 53 major talent projects and over 100 PhDs, and continues to build innovation platforms with top universities like Donghua.
